My daughter has participated in Holly's French art after school classes, PA days as well as the summer camp. She loves all the cool things Holly has taught her and she also loves Holly. If we go too long without a visit, I will be reminded it's time to visit The Art Room. I like that Holly always encourages her students to do things themselves, and as a result I don't hear "I can't" as often. When I asked my daughter, she said Holly is "109 percent kind and great with kids." We're so happy we live close to The Art Room!

The Art Room is a small space with
a huge heart!
My daughter has attended three other well-established art programs and our favourite is The Art Room. With her rich imagination, Holly is adept at directing the children without making it seem like she is teaching. All the while having fun, my daughter is learning new techniques and building confidence in the making of her own creative choices. And best of all, the Art Room has a positive and engaging atmosphere that Holly crafts just as thoughtfully as all of that lovely art!

Friendly and approachable neighbourhood teacher
Holly has a magical way of igniting art interest in the children on our street. For the last 2 years they have loved the engaging art projects Holly has hosted at our annual street party. Her friendly demeanour puts the children at ease and makes her easily approachable by parents. We feel so lucky to have a talented art teacher in our neighbourhood bringing out everyone's inner artist!

I wanted to say thank you for providing such a fantastic art camp. My daughter enjoyed every day and I was taken aback at the caliber of artwork she was producing - I know that she loves art and has been steadily improving over the last year but her work from the time at your camp was very impressive. She continues to make the fish bowls on the table...that's one of her favourites.

What a great party!
Holly hosted a fantastic birthday party for our drawing-obsessed son. I couldn't believe how engaged all of the 6/7 year-olds were, and how much fun it was to watch their comic-book creations take form. Thanks, Holly!

Awesome Teacher!
My teenage son took Holly’s portfolio evening class and loved it. He explored and went outside of his comfort zone ......and the results were awesome! One evening he came home and, as someone who looks at art all day long, I found his project to be stunning. Negative space and composition are so tough to master … and Holly’s lesson really translated beautifully. Thank you for taking the time and doing your research, Holly. He’ll be back again this fall!

A special addition to the community
My daughter started at the Art Room with an impromptu Saturday morning drop-in session. She loved it so much she has since held two birthday parties, which are a breeze to book. Holly offers lots of flexibility and choice for any event, and she always seems happy to accommodate special requests. My daughter loves the art and activities at The Art Room but it's Holly's warmth and obvious love of teaching that is the heart of this place and why my daughter always wants to go back. It's so nice having someone like Holly add something as special as The Art Room to the local community. Places like this is what makes living in the Junction so great! Thank you Holly!
